Meet the Ranches Behind Our Tallow: Quality You Can Trust
At Two Sisters Tallow Co, we believe that the best products start with the best ingredients. That’s why we’ve partnered with incredible ranches that share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and ethical farming practices. Each jar of our tallow is a reflection of the care and dedication that these ranchers pour into their work. So, let’s take a closer look at the ranches we proudly source from:
Kala Ranch (KR)
Located near Nojack, AB, Kala Ranch is owned and operated by Geza Szucs and Kristine Lange, who proudly raise purebred Black Angus beef cattle.
The Kala Ranch caretakers believe cattle should be grass-fed, have plenty of sunshine and fresh water, and be able to socialize normally. They don’t use any steroids, hormones, or daily antibiotics in the herd. In their own words, “It's our privilege and honor to be their caretakers, and we treat all animals with dignity and respect.”
Geza and Kristine consider themselves caretakers of the land as well as cattle, and honor the wildlife they share their land with through sustainable ranching practices that take a long view, making sure Kala Ranch will be a source of nourishment for generations of people and creatures to come.
Flaghill Ranch (FH)
Flaghill Ranch is a family-owned business with a father-daughter team at the center of the day-to-day workings in the prairies of Craigmyle, Alberta. The Flaghill family is dedicated to producing the highest-quality, 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef optimized for human nutrition. Raised on pasture from birth to butcher, their cattle are handled in accordance with the highest standards of animal welfare.
They are firm believers that nature knows best and work symbiotically with it by prioritizing soil health and regenerative farming practices. By doing so, they eliminate the need for synthetic interventions, aligning closely with natural systems to promote biodiversity and environmental health while producing a high-quality beef (and tallow!) product.
